STONEFIRE KITCHEN is Tori and Carl Tremaglios next big thing. As the founders of Oregano Joes Restaurant in Charlottesville, they Picnicdeveloped a passion for food and exquisite service their reputation still holds. Stonefire Kitchen is the next iteration of that passion.

Jeremy ButterfieldAlong with chef Jeremy Butterfield, formerly of Palladio Restaurant, they have developed a menu of sandwiches, salads, soups, sides, and entrees. The kitchen offers lunch and dinner menu options, box lunches, gift baskets, and picnic baskets for residents of and travelers in the Virginia wine country.
Stonefire Kitchen provides complete event packages for Stonefire Station, the adjacent event facility. They offer classic menus for weddings and rehearsal dinners, and suitable meals and hors doeuvres for meetings or training events in the ballroom.

Out of the Past
Most recently Jeremy was sous chef at Barboursville Winery for four years and is now taking the next step in his quest for the perfect casual meal. He has developed a sophisticated portfolio of recipes intelligent choices of local and seasonal produce and meats at reasonable prices. He comes to Stonefire Kitchen with training from Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute and other kitchen experience at Keswick Hall and Hamiltons restaurant. His past experiences provide him with skills for the informal, everyday fare of the Stonefire lunch menu, and sophistication and elegance for formal menus. Follow Jeremy on Twitter for daily menu updates @StonefireFood.

Tori and Carl met at Cornell School of Hotel Administration in Ithaca, New York. They opened Oregano Joes in 1988 and operated it for 12 years, feeding the hungry mouths of Charlottesville. They expanded the business to handle catering, and then equipment rentals, which ultimately became Festive Fare Party Rentals. They sold the very successful business to Classic Party Rentals. Being serial entrepreneurs, they opened Stonefire Station in 2004 and Stonefire Kitchen in 2010.

Incidentally, they still get calls from customers asking for the recipe for the gorgonzola dressing!

Stonefire Kitchen
Thanks to the Charlottesville Restaurant Examiner, The Hook, and the Daily Progress for the press last week!

We were thrilled to see our name in three local publications last week. The Charlottesville Restaurant Examiner gave us a very kind review. The Hook’s “Dish” and the Daily Progress also mentioned us.

People are catching on that we’re out here. Come visit!
